Founded in Paris in 1830, Christofle is a French goldsmith and tableware company renowned for its elegance and craftsmanship. The company imports its raw materials from Asia and exports its products worldwide, whether to its subsidiaries in Japan and the United States, or to its boutiques and hotels in North America, South America, Asia and the Middle East.
With nearly 200 years of existence, the company was aware that technology could help them gain visibility and simplicity in the management of their flows. Christofle's logistics team was ready to consider innovative solutions, but only if they could rely on a dedicated and attentive team.

Déroulement du projet
The OVRSEA team was responsive during the sanitary crisis, despite the high level of uncertainty. The team made sure to offer a solution for each urgent shipment Christofle was facing, ensuring that each proposal sent matches the real capacity of the companies.
At the same time, OVRSEA created a crisis report to inform its customers on a daily basis about the evolution of rates and the impact of the crisis on transportation. This allowed the Christofle Logistics team to gain visibility throughout the crisis and to communicate updated and reliable information to management and sales staff.
The functionality of the platform has immediately impressed the Christofle teams. The platform allowed to centralize all the exchanges and to save a considerable amount of time by reducing by 70% the number of emails. Thanks to real-time tracking, Christofle's subsidiaries and customers can follow the progress of goods without having to go through Christofle. The centralization of transportation documents on the platform and the downloadable reports have also been a considerable asset for the teams.
OVRSEA now organizes imports of raw materials and shipments of finished products for Christofle.
The Logistics team manages all transport from the platform and has a dedicated team of experts.
OVRSEA continues to help Christofle to modernize its flows and accompanies the company towards a more responsible transport thanks to the calculation of the emissions of each transport and by proposing as soon as possible more sustainable alternatives.
